In January of 2018 Jeanine Corcoran helped find the perfect home for us as we relocated from Idaho to Harmony, FL. As our realtor, she helped smooth the process of finding a home, negotiating a deal, financing and closing. Jeanine was the consummate professional from start to finish. On our first day in Florida, as we were driving from our hotel to perform the walk through on our new home, we were involved in a horrific car wreck. Our car was totaled, our cat ran away from the scene, and we ended up in the hospital. Jeanine became even more indispensable. As one of her agents rushed to the crash site, Jeanine headed to the emergency room to meet us. She called her local church, whose members unloaded our car and trailer, moved us into our home and provided us with food the next few days. She took us to lunch and then to an expedited closing. Jeanine's office organized a search for our cat. This outstanding realtor helped us not only through a transition from Idaho to Florida, but through a transition in life as well. We have moved a lot, from coast to coast, over our 50 years together. It's hard to decide what's more nerve wracking; buying, selling and moving or cliff diving in the Philippines. We've been fortunate with realtors in the past but this trip was absolutely the best! Granted, we've known MaryJo a long time. Our son and her husband went to school together and Doug spent a fair amount of time with us. Fast forward to now where we know that Doug's wife, Mary Jo is a realtor and an excellent realtor one. MaryJo is potentially the only realtor we've had experience with that actually treats her job as her profession and her passion. Her patience with us is commendable. While experiencing some serious health issues with family members, the process drug out longer than expected but MaryJo checked in regularly and continued to revise search criteria to meet our new needs; never exerting undo pressure. MaryJo found us the perfect property. We haven't bought a "used house" since 1977 and we landed in a bit of a fixer upper and although we're currently living in a bit of a construction zone, we love the bones of the place. The area is perfect and peaceful with action just a couple miles this way or that. We're enjoying great neighbors in an area of town where we're not constantly fighting traffic, finding a plethora of diverse restaurants and activities, and discovered that several of our good friends live close by (literally, one couple is across the street). She was never pushy about a property and we loved that she respected our price point. She virtually checked every box on our list. MaryJo's sharp negotiation skills with the seller's agent landed a very good deal for us. There is no doubt, with her as our listing agent, that our house sold in one day because we took her advice with staging leading to a most professional video and, with her interaction with the buyer's realtor, landed a truly perfect offer. The closing process is always a roller coaster and MaryJo was a champion at managing anxiety and making it so easy on the buying and selling ends. It's not often that you find a realtor with MaryJo's level of professionalism with all aspects of the deals. We appreciate her and her herculean efforts even more; both as a friend and a professional realtor. She is at the top of our referral list when it comes to the realtor.
